Changing Tires
Hello from beautiful Brigham City, Utah! I’m here at the Haulit headquarters, and I have a couple of maintenance tricks that you can do with a Haulit Trailer that will make a potentially difficult task easy. The first thing I want to show you is how to change a tire on a Haulit trailer the easy way.
Have you ever been stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire on a trailer that you are hauling? It is never an optimal situation. Haulit has made the job a bit easier.
All you need is 4 short four-by-four pieces of wood, which you would want to have in your toolbox, or truck bed. Place them on the ground underneath the back of the trailer on each side and use the rams to lift the trailer’s two axles off the ground allowing you to effortlessly spin and change out your tires without the hassle of using a jack, the jack is built right into the trailer. That’s the first thing you can do with this Haulit trailer.
The second thing that you can do is to check your breakaway cable to ensure it is working properly. To check your breakaway, when the axles are up in the air and the tires are off the ground, give the tires a good spin to make sure they’re turning smoothly. Next, move to tongue of the trailer and pull your breakaway mechanism. If it is working correctly, this action should lock up your tires. This tells you that your brakes are working.
So, there it is—two handy tricks you can do with a Haulit trailer. Have an awesome day, and “Happy Haulin’ with a Haulit!”
