How to Load and Unload IBC
Gaylord Totes
Loading Gaylord Totes
- Position the IBC Gaylord tote on the conveyor belt. The front of the pallet should be on the belting.
- With the remote control, engage the belting to pull the pallet onto the trailer. Make sure the tote is far enough on the trailer that you can load the next one.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the remaining totes.
Unloading IBC Totes
- Secure the tote with a strap. If there is liquid in the tote, it may be unstable when you unload. You may want to secure it with a strap. This will prevent the tote from tipping over when you off-load.
- Use the remote control to raise the bed of the trailer. Raise the bed up in the air until caster wheels on the back of the skid plates hit the ground.
- Use the remote control to move the totes backwards to the ground. Let the back tote hit the ground and move off the trailer. Gently move your truck forward until tote is completely off the trailer. Continue until all totes have been unloaded off the trailer.
Additional Tips
- IBC Gaylord totes can weigh between 2,500 and 3,000 pounds when loaded.
- The conveyor belt is industrial quality and can be used for years.
- The strap mechanism is easy to use and helps to prevent tipping.
